TRADITION & VISION

On August 6th, Art Gallery Susanne Rikus opens a new exhibition to which you are cordially invited! “Tradition & Vision” is a lively dialogue with the culture of Italy: Works on Naples and Florence, and also the latest works by Susanne Rikus on Sardinia can be seen.

Centuries-old wall paintings (Florence) and sculptures (Naples) as well as the temple complexes of Sardinia carry with them a knowledge: about man and his contemplation of the human world as well as nature, creation. How can we learn from these ancient cultures and give our visions a foundation? What is behind a work of art? What view of the world? How does the cultural history of Europe show itself?

As a woman, Susanne Rikus would also like to approach the cultural landscape differently – and emphasise balance! As well as more equality in the art world between men and women.
